Why I am Running

Pender County needs leadership that asks the hard questions before taxpayer money is spent—not after.Too often, growth happens first and infrastructure catches up later. That approach costs residents more in the long run, strains schools and roads, and changes the character of our communities without their consent.I’m running to bring accountability, transparency, and common-sense conservative principles back to county government. My PrioritiesFiscal Responsibility & Taxpayer ProtectionStrong oversight of county spendingLong-term planning to avoid costly mistakesEliminating waste before raising taxesKeeping tax rates stable—or lower—whenever possibleGovernment should live within its means, just like families and small businesses do.Responsible Growth & Property RightsGrowth is inevitable—but poor planning is notDevelopment should pay its share for infrastructureProtect farms, homesteads, and rural landownersAmend county ordinances to reduce unnecessary restrictions on property useI believe in private property rights and fair, predictable rules—not overregulation.Infrastructure That’s Planned to LastBuild schools and facilities with future expansion in mindDemand accountability on large construction projectsEnsure roads, utilities, and public safety keep pace with growthGood planning today saves millions tomorrow.Transparency & AccessMonthly in-district meetings so residents can be heardClear communication on county decisions and spendingOpen government that works for the people—not special interestsEven if one person shows up, those meetings will happen.Supporting Essential Services—Responsibly
Competitive pay for first responders and critical staff
Targeted incentives instead of blanket spending increasesEfficient use of taxpayer dollarsWe can support public safety and essential services without bloating government. On Key IssuesNew Taxes
I oppose new taxes unless they are absolutely necessary, clearly justified, and directly benefit Pender County residents. New taxes should always be the last resort—and voters deserve a say.
Water & Sewer
Utilities should be funded sustainably through user fees, not hidden taxes. Expansion should be strategic, transparent, and based on real need—not political pressure.
Federal & State Mandates
Counties should not be forced to absorb unfunded mandates from higher levels of government. I will advocate strongly to protect local taxpayers from cost-shifting policies.
My Commitment to YouI do not accept money from builders or special-interest groupsI will always put Pender County residents firstI will protect liberty, property rights, and your tax dollarsThis campaign is about service, not politics. If you believe in:
✔ Fiscal responsibility
✔ Constitutional principles
✔ Local control
✔ Accountable government
Then I ask for your support.Together, we can keep Pender County a place where freedom, opportunity, and community still matter
